Obituary for William Francis Cato
Bill Cato passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 19, 1949, William lived a life full of warmth, kindness, and laughter. His infectious smile lit up every room he entered, and his love for life was evident to all who knew him.He is reunited in peace with his father William Cato, mother Winifred Cato, and grandchild, Ezekiel, who preceded him in death.
William was a devoted husband to Anita Cato, his beloved wife of 43 years. Together, they built a beautiful family and created countless cherished memories. He was a proud and loving father to his six children: Scott Cato and his wife Denise, Chris Cato and his wife Stephanie, Marc Miller and his wife Heidi, Tiffany Hurlbut and her husband Chris, Joe Miller and his wife Lisa, and Jennifer Cato. He found immense joy in being a grandfather to eighteen grandchildren: Kayla, Hailey, Owen, Shannon, Brett, Ryan, Hannah, Camden, Teagan, Kinsley, Easton, Lucas, Grace, Landon, Jordyn, Miles, Rosie, and Ezekiel. His love and presence will forever be a guiding light in their lives.
William was not only a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, but also a devoted brother to Donna Johnson, Gary Cato, Claire Beauregard, and Robert Cato. He touched the hearts of many with his generous spirit, sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to his family.
His legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
A celebration of William’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1400 Main Street, Leominster, MA. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the extraordinary man he was.
